Eric K. Lerner’s Il Papa is the 2 color version. The secondary color was registered through the mylar registration technique. In each print Lerner subtly changed the offset by eye intentionally creating a variable edition. “It’s long been said that art is simply a question of angles of perception,” says Lerner. The edition is coherent and the different offsets may not be apparent to the casual viewer. This is consistent with Three Bones Society’s mission to make unique works of art affordable to the public. The Visconti Sforza refers to a more than a dozen deck created in the mid to late 15th Century. The most complete one is in the Pierpoint Morgan Collection. This is part of a series of limited edition silkscreen prints which focus on cropped details from the deck’s major arcana. They are combined with esoteric symbols relating to the card’s cartomantic meaning.
